The dock is blocked by commercial boats such as day excursion boats or work ships. There is hardly any space left for guest boats, especially not for larger sailboats. You can save the nautical miles and perhaps prefer to make a trip from Halsa.

Had to moor at the end of the T-pier because unfortunately, a third of the guest pier was converted into a fuel station, and it was then fully occupied with 2 medium-sized sailboats. Beautiful area, little swell, and we had a calm day. In that case, the T-pier was sufficient for our heavy 30-ton yacht.

Quiet sheltered bay with good anchorage on clayey sand directly beneath the Dinjandi Waterfall. There are toilets at the parking lot. Anchor in 8-10m, the shore becomes very shallow quickly. When anchored, expect a lot of kelp and clayey sand at the anchor. Landing with a dinghy is possible, see photo. In the evening, sea breeze and swell enter the bay, otherwise good protection from all wind directions except west. Katabatic winds are reported to occur; we experienced little wind there and noticed nothing.

Narrow entrance, which has just been dredged. Therefore, the green buoys were missing. The floating jetty at the back was renewed and now has outboard arms. Unfortunately, most berths on floating jetties or the wooden pier are permanently occupied. There is usually still space at the pier with 3 rows of car tires and a 2m tidal range. In addition, there are mooring buoys. Very expensive at 10,000 ISK per day including water and electricity.

Small floating dock with sufficient depth even for larger boats, albeit somewhat aged. Electricity from the restaurant is possible with a long cable. The long dock at Smedvika is still not available. Nice place with a great church and museum in the neighboring town. Not so crowded with tourists.

Well-protected harbour. No space can be expected at the floating pontoons but we were welcomed to berth at the pier. Tidal range is 3m and there are 4 rows of truck tires which feels a bit uncomfortable. No problem on a calm day though. There is a store, several restaurants, pharmacy, hair cutter and several other services of a small town. Olafsvik is inviting and tidy and the area offers hiking, whale watching tours and waterfalls nearby plus a swimming pool.

The outer long jetty no. 4 is particularly exposed to heavy swell on the outside due to ferries, large passenger ships, and motorboats. The inner side is predominantly rented to long-term berths. Some of the cleats are missing, and the path to the service building is long. It is better and more sheltered at the three inner jetties.

We had written to the harbor master and received the information that our 18m boat with a draft of 2.4m was too large for the marina. He then referred us to the municipal harbor.

Solid floating pier with electricity. We did not find any water supply. Cleats are not available everywhere, so approach strategically when free. Be careful with the fenders, there are screws sticking out of the planks everywhere. Depth is not a problem even for large boats. Occasionally, airplanes take off, otherwise it's quiet. There is a new concrete pier further out, making the other long pontoon well protected against swell. Moor alongside, fishing boats are in the boxes on the other side. 150NOK without electricity, 200NOK with. Payment via VIPPS, which is difficult for non-Scandinavians.

Der Hafen wird von Akureyri aus verwaltet. Die Schwimmsteganlage ist laut Seekarte nur bis 2m Tiefgang möglich und auch die lokalen Verantwortlichen konnten uns da keine Auskunft geben. Deswegen lagen wir am Pier mit LKW-Reifen, hier ist es mindestens 4m tief. Tidenhub ist 1,10m, Strom wäre möglich gewesen, haben wir aber für eine Nacht darauf verzichtet. Tankstelle am Hauptpier vor Kopf. Hübsche ruhige Insel mit Vogelbeobachtungsmöglichkeiten und Wanderungen.

Spectacular approach through the high rocks. Before entering, watch out for the ferry or other large vessels, as it is narrow. Inside the harbor, there are three floating docks with berths that can accommodate a sailing boat bow-in. Alternatively, a berth at the pier may be assigned. Draft up to 2.5m is no problem. The friendly harbor master can be reached on VHF channel 12 and will then be at the berth. Water, electricity, waste disposal, shower, and toilet are included in the harbor fee. Pleasant place with good infrastructure. Great hikes in magnificent surroundings.

Good anchorage on sand at a depth of 5-8m. Well sheltered from all winds coming from northern and western directions. Place with a marina accessible by dinghy for fishing boats. Hot bath within a 45-minute walk.

The approach leads through a rather narrow channel with strong currents. It is marked on land by numerous aids to navigation, which are certainly also illuminated. Nevertheless, I would not enter at night. Pay attention to the tide! The harbor is large and industrial in character. We shared the small pontoon with the SAR boat. A friendly man cleared the inflatable boat lying there out of the way beforehand. The pontoon has water and electricity. Numerous fishing boats are moored at the other two pontoons. In an emergency, there would certainly still be space at the pier. The tidal range is about one meter, so not quite as extreme.

Good anchorage bay, except with northerly winds. Anchor on sand at 5-8m, good hold. The swell can be somewhat annoying. Landing at the camp in the corner by the orange rescue hut on sand. Approach is unproblematic, shallower areas with rocks are marked on the nautical chart. Good fishing grounds, many hiking opportunities.
