The harbor has a shallow depth. With a draft of 1.60m, we were already at the limit.
Otherwise, a nice change of scenery. Marstal by bicycle is no long trip.

Is there any better Place for returning from Ålands?
If so, wrote me an email :-)
Think there Must be Living Geddar, Aborre and Gös in this bay. Good luck.
After arriving in sunny weather, sea-for streamed along the entrance of the bay, very romantic
A Restaurant is places nearby, swedish inhabitans told us.
They Moored their Boat to have a Metal there.
It seems, it is worth to visit it

In the Middle of the bay, there is the „Kongebro“, a Bridge maintained by Aarhus Sejlklub.
Depending on the Wind You have to choose the eastern or Western Side.
You Need Long ropes (20m) to Moore
Mooring boies from Danske tursejler Are there too.
Supermarket only 100m Away from the bridge

Pretty harbor with a morbid charm. Easy to approach. Plenty of berths available, sanitary facilities are clean and heated. A good stopover for the route to and from Haparanda, but no shopping opportunities within walking distance.

Those who prefer a somewhat more rural, peaceful setting will find the harbor at Engesberg better suited than Gävle/Gefle. A pretty harbor, including a restaurant. Unfortunately no supermarket, but a neighboring campsite where you might buy milk. We visited twice.

Have a Look on seacharts before entering !!
Look for trace line in the Chart (Look out for 2 white Posts in the Harbour)
Hold Distance As Long as being unsure how to enter the harbour
Otherwise, use the Harbour about 300m West

I was overwhelmed by the friendly clubmembers and their lovely clubhouse.
Supermarket about 2-3km Away, lean a bike from the Club to reach it. Bus-Station to City about 1,5km Away.
We experienced the midsommar 2026 there, Manager by the Football Club Holmsund at Ljumvikens Havsbad, about 500m Away. LOVELY !!!

Our favourite Harbour in Karlskrona !
Calm landscape so Close to the City Centre.
Enjoy the Peace in this Harbour or borrow a bike to explore Karlskrona.
Karlskrona itself is much nicer than Kalmar, my personal opinion.
