Nice pier but somewhat few anchoring points. Note that there is a strong current at the pier where fjords meet, so the tide current is significant, especially at the outer part of the pier. Waves from cruise ships departing from Oslo can occur, and it is exposed to waves from passing larger boats. Good depth at the outer part of the pier but somewhat shallower further in.
Possible to anchor with mooring on land on the opposite side of the pier in the small bay.
Very nice island with beautiful nature and a lovely place with long evening sun.

This harbour is very nice to book in advance with dockspot.com. Then you get a berth reserved, which is convenient. Nice facilities and a great area with shops and restaurants.

Nice with berths that can accommodate two larger boats in each berth. Not particularly deep but enough space for regular motorboats. Sailboats probably do not have space in this outport. Outhouse and picnic tables on land. Be aware of goats on land if you have pets yourself.
Nice island with hiking opportunities.

Can be booked through dockspot.com or upon arrival. Affordable harbour with good facilities. Close to shops, wine store, restaurants, etc.
Be aware of ferry noise from the Bastøy ferry as well as the ferry's power supply. Not a problem after mooring, but worth noting during maneuvering.
Only diesel refueling at the pump.

Booking via dockspot.com. Very expensive spots. Few facilities, toilet, water, and shore power. Shower can be requested through the hotel's spa, but no guarantee. Nice dock and nice area.

Booked via dockspot.com. Mid-range price, but electricity, showers, and other amenities are additional. Very nice facility with good access to shops and restaurants and a mini-pool. Good atmosphere in the harbor.
A lot of reckless driving in the Hvaler area as there are no speed limits there.

Nice sheltered harbor quite protected from waves. Be aware when entering and keep to the left. The direction is marked on a small sea marker situated on a reef. Upon entry: Keep the port side as close to the rock as possible, that's where the best depth is. On the starboard side there is a small shallow area about 0.5 meters. Have observed sailboats entering the harbor, so with proper navigation, it is doable.
Once inside, there are plenty of mooring points on various reefs and islets. OK bottom for anchoring, it's also possible to lie at anchor.
Developed with lawns and often a few picnic tables. Nice small beaches.
