Entering from the south, be aware of shallow areas, especially at low tide. There are 2 public buoys right outside the pier that are well visible and free to use. If docking at the pier with a sailboat, it must be done at the outermost part. Small building with shower (1 pound per shower) and toilets. Kettletoft is a small place with a hotel, a cafe, and a bar. Opening hours are not very regular, but the people are very friendly. About a 30-minute walk to the nearest store or to Lady Village where one can also rent a bike.

There are 4 buoys outside the entrance to the marina, you can also moor at the Breakwater wharf, but there is a lot of traffic from fishing boats. The marina is protected by a raise/lower barrier to keep the water at low tide. This is raised/lowered with the tide (see timings on the marina's homepage or https://www.gov.im/categories/travel-traffic-and-motoring/harbours/peel/). The swing bridge to enter the marina is opened on request between 8 am and 4 pm, contact the harbour master on VHF 12 to arrange this.

Nice place to stay if you are waiting for the tide to go into Strangford Lough. Very poorly protected against waves from the east.

Fantastic friendly people working around the marina. They appreciate if you call them a bit in advance to inform them that you are on your way. They also send crew members down to receive you if you arrive during the opening hours of the harbour office. Check out the number https://www.wickharbour.co.uk/leisure/marina/
New and nice service building with shower, toilet, and washing machine. Diesel can be purchased upon request at the harbour office.

be aware that entry should be timed with the tide. The general rule is that the lowest point in the channel is 2 meters lower than the depth at the "safe water mark" buoy. It is recommended to enter the marina on a rising tide. Call the marina before you plan to enter, as they have the latest updates and can advise on the best time for entry.

Few guest spots available on the pontoons, you may be directed to moor alongside one of the boats on the northern pier. A lot of noise from the fish processing plant and boats. The showers practically had no water pressure.

There are many pontoons between the lock at Dochgarroch Locks and Loch Ness. Be aware that the nearest docks are used by those waiting for the locks and that two spots are reserved for tourist ferries. It is very close to the road, so if you do not need electricity and toilets, it is recommended to proceed out onto Loch Ness instead.

Most facilities are available both at the top and bottom of the locks. More space at the bottom, but there is more traffic from tourist boats heading out to Loch Ness. Several dining places and bars, and a short distance to groceries. Fuel can be purchased, among other places, at a local gas station.

Fantastic beautiful bay. Sand bottom with good holding. The bay is very exposed to swells from W/NW which causes the boat to roll violently. Many buoys are available for mooring, and the harbor service also offers water taxi.

Very friendly welcome. Call, send an email, or book via Navily. Speaks good English. Free washing machine. No paper or soap in the toilets. +/- 2km walk to streets with all the shops and restaurants you need.
Refueling must be arranged with the harbor master.

Follow the recommended route, especially at low tide. The lowest point is at the start of the river mouth. Mooring to a floating dock in the river outside the marina. Right above a shipyard, so it was a bit noisy, but not a problem. Water and electricity on the dock, no toilet or shower. Paid 15 euros for up to 3 days.

Pleasant place with a small cafe. Also some local eateries a short walk away along the Great Glen Way.
Electricity and water are also available on the east side of the lock, but you are more exposed to traffic there.
