Entry and maritime conditions: The harbour is located on the west side of Senja.
Mooring: The harbour offers good protection from the open sea. It is also possible to anchor in the bay. The east side of the short floating pier (the one furthest west) has steel bolts sticking out - make sure to fend off well!
The dryer is not working, but the washing machine can still be used (June 2022)
The area: Nice restaurant and a popular vacation spot also for car tourists. On the north-facing breakwater, it is also possible to book a hot tub with a direct view of the open sea.

Mooring: Floating dock with alongside mooring only for commercial boats. Recreational boats can use available berths, which are quite narrow. The harbor is not recommended as a guest harbor for boats over 30 feet.

Approach and maritime conditions: Floating docks
Mooring: Senjahopen is a safe and secure harbor to stay in. Anchoring is possible throughout the bay at depths between 5-14m. The entrance is well marked and dredged to about 8m depth. Solid floating dock with power and water. Small local shop in the center. You won’t see the midnight sun here due to the high mountains. Sun until 21:00 on June 3rd.

as of June 28, 2022, the guest dock was "disconnected" and moved to the southeastern end of the basin. There is no electricity or water, and you must use your own boat to get ashore. It is not recommended to use the guest harbor here in its current state.

The harbor is reported to be 4 meters, but the innermost part of the guest pier is much shallower. There is a diesel dock, but it is located at the innermost part of the harbor, and it is both narrow and shallow; sailboats are advised against trying to fill diesel here.

Few opportunities for visitors, one pier is marked private, and the other was occupied by commercial vessels. The floating dock at the very end can accommodate one boat on each side, but be aware of the depth - we measured 1.8m at low tide in the middle of the dock.

difficult to moor at the dock, as it is intended for larger route boats. We chose to anchor instead. Many areas with sandy bottom and good holding ground on the E and SE side of Sandøya.

a good number of reefs, follow charts and markers. Gjesvær has a store and nice hiking opportunities. At the bird safari pier, you can ask for permission to dock in order to fill up with water.

Berthing: A somewhat worn but decent enough floating dock. The outermost part has a small gap to the next section - not very child-friendly. Approximately 3 meters minimum depth at the outermost part. Remember to use sufficient fenders; the outermost part is made of iron/steel without protection. The inner part is made of wood. Daily fee is 100 NOK as of May 2022.
The area: Nice hiking area with trails around Utvorda fort from World War II.

Diesel pier is cramped and has poor depth. This place is not recommended for refueling sailboats. There is another diesel pier 0.5 NM east of the center, but you need a membership card to refuel there. We gave up and headed towards Hammerfest to fill the tank.

Approach and Maritime Conditions: Beautiful, calm harbor on the south side of Kunna. Upgraded docks with berths, and a restaurant aiming to become Helgeland Coast's best seafood restaurant.
Lovely, flat hiking terrain, with opportunities for exploring an underground facility from the war, and a fantastic disc golf course. Opportunities to rent kayaks and bicycles. A gem!
Mooring: Upgraded docks with berths. Be aware of the depth on the way into the bay, but it is very well marked with stakes and signs.

Former side-to mooring has been replaced with berths, which can make it challenging to dock-especially with a sailboat and wind.
It may be tempting to aim for the first (southernmost) berth, but be aware that it has a sharp metal edge on one side, which can easily damage fiberglass boats (see picture).
