In this reasonably deep bay there are 5 mooring buoys. The area was important during the World Wars for the British fleet. There is a museum about it, and there are many remnants on the shore. At the end of the quay there is a corner where the dinghy can lie and where you can get ashore via a ladder. In the museum (which is free) there is also a little cafe.

A beautiful place to anchor. Nearby is a small jetty where we could come ashore for a walk. On the other side of the spit, there is a pebble beach. We wanted to moor the dinghy at the quay on the opposite side, but we were turned away. It worked at the campsite. On the opposite side, you can take a substantial hike along a well-used path.

The quay is somewhat dilapidated and rusty but sturdy enough and there are bollards to fasten your lines. Be mindful of the tide. In bad winds, you are poorly sheltered here and some swell enters the bay from the Sognefjord. The supermarket is open until 11 PM (evening access with your bank card). Diesel and gasoline self-service at the quay.
Along the little river, you can take an easy walk. To the left and right of the valley, you can take a challenging hike.

Wat een mooie pontoon, ook al is hij nog niet af. Op de Garmin boating waterkaart staat bij de toegang een ondiepte van anderhalve meter. Ter plekke stond bij ons de dieptemeter op 22 meter. Dus geen probleem om bij deze haven te komen. Wij gingen bakboord langs het eiland.
Betalen kan met gomarina. Alleen de wasmachine moet met vipps. Dat werkt niet voor mensen uit landen van buiten Scandinavië. Daarom heb ik via gomarina een keer extra elektra afgerekend voor 2 wasjes.
Er is een Spar supermarkt met aardig aanbod.

A beautiful sheltered anchorage. We were almost at the end. There was good holding in the clay.

On the nautical chart, it seemed too shallow for us to enter, but there was 20 meters where the chart indicated only half a meter. Further in the bay, we were able to anchor at 3 meters.
