We attempted to find shelter in this small harbor for our 40 ft sailboat as it was marked as green on norskhavneguide.no after dark on Sunday evening 25/08-24. There was strong wind and current inside the harbor. After an attempt to get close to the quay, we decided to leave as quickly as possible. With extensive use of the thruster, we backed out of the harbor without damage. We believe this harbor should only be used in very, very good weather.

The approach is well marked. We arrived at the quay around 00:30 on 26/08-24. Outside the harbor, the wind was up to 21 m/s south-southwest in gusts and strong waves. When we rounded the large industrial islet on the port side, both the wind and waves calmed down. We had arranged mooring at the main quay on the south side of the restaurant. Very good service from the operators of Knutholmen. The harbor was then marked yellow in norskhavneguide.no

There are currently 17 permanent residents on the island. There is a combined café/knitting shop that is open all year round. Ona Havstuer offers accommodation open year-round and a lovely restaurant that is open from May to the end of September with good food and a fully licensed bar. There are also two ceramic workshops and a gallery, as well as several accommodations. There is a ferry to Ona-Husøya four times a day departing from Småge ferry terminal.

There is a bridge connection between Ona and Husøya. On Husøya, there is a beautiful cemetery and a lovely sandy beach with white sand. Lush landscape.

If all the spots at the floating dock are occupied, it is possible to moor to the buoys outside the large boathouses in guest harbors. There are signs on the wall with phone number/Vipps for dock rental to the owner. There is a dock marked 'Emergency Dock'. This must always be available for the ambulance boat, so no one can moor there!

We have had a completely calm and good night in this little harbour. It was a big surprise to find such a good harbour so close to the fairway. Simple and clear approach. Harbourmaster Bjørn stood on the quay as agreed via SMS, he indicated the berth, received the moorings, and also had time for a good chat. Reasonable payment via Vipps and power/shower available. Top marks from us. Eli and Knut

Small private marina with some available spots. We visited some residents in the area and were able to moor our 40-foot sailboat at the end of the innermost floating dock. Two plastic wave breakers (hoses) have been laid out to somewhat protect the harbour. Had a quiet and good night.

We arrived with a 40-foot sailboat. We saw there were some available berths in the outer harbor, but they were too narrow for our boat. We stayed overnight alongside the outermost floating dock behind a service boat that was moored. Some disturbance when the ferry and coastal route passed, but an okay spot due to calm weather.
