Very nice area and good bottom conditions (sand). Poorly protected against wind from almost all directions, and little room for swinging at anchor. Works fine for small boats in calm seas.

As of 04.07.2025, the floating dock is not in place, and there is no information about where to moor. We took a chance on the floating dock north of the steamboat quay.

Beautiful island that should truly be experienced. Unfortunately, there are no public toilets on the island, except in the tavern when it is open.

Easy to navigate and good anchorage. Well sheltered against waves, but the north wind comes through. Nice coarse sandy beach. Few trails in the area, despite a beautiful island.

Nice to anchor in Hestviken with good protection from all directions and good holding.
With a dinghy, you can reach a nice sandy beach with a Sherpa trail that leads directly either to the 'center' or up Rødøyløva (Beautiful hike!).

Further south, at Einarskjæret, the depth is consistently between 2 and 9 meters, with coarse sandy bottom providing good anchorage and less current:
The many islets offer good weather protection, there might be some current, but not of great significance.
Nice public restroom by the parking lot for Vegatrappa - About 500 meters to walk after rowing into the beach.
There is a lot of fish at Tangvika, and the area is generally very nice for snorkeling. The hike up Vegatrappa is also recommended.

Nice area for fair-weather days. The floating pier is only intended for small boats, and the anchoring conditions are good throughout almost the entire area between the islands.

Nice island with good anchoring conditions around large parts of the island.
The island is part of a nature reserve and has a travel ban from May 1st to June 30th over almost the entire island.

At the outermost part of the dock, there is a well-fendered, alongside mooring, but be aware that it is shallow.
Joker right by the dock, but otherwise not much to see. Nice place for a short break between Veiholmen and Grip.
