Possible to sail in from both sides and 9m depth, the rock goes straight down. Pay close attention to the reefs when entering from the west. Good protection from all directions except exactly the direction of the inlet itself. Hooks in the rock so that you can throw a loop and get a hold, then you can use a rope to climb up onto the islet. Cracks in the rock approximately in the middle provide the opportunity for additional wedges. If the bow is facing west, there is a small ladder/bridge that allows access, it appears to have been in better condition in the past.

Approach and maritime conditions: Sildholmen is located northeast of Risør, approximately 2nm. Best approach from SW, also possible from SE.
Anchoring: On the north side of the island, alongside the cliff or at anchor.

Approach for sailboats from the south, pay close attention to depth and reefs. The entire western side of the inlet is generally suitable for stern anchor mooring. Slightly deeper and better suited on the southern west side. Also good depth on the eastern side towards a high cliff, alongside mooring there. Nice hiking opportunities in the area and a fantastic child-friendly swimming spot nearby, as well as a beach in Breibukta. If you are a sailboat and want to stay in Breibukta, it seems better to moor here and walk to Breibukta.

Deep enough for a sailboat to moore with stern anchor and rope to bolts in coastal stones. There are areas with shallow rocks, and areas with none, check thoroughly before you moore. Smaller motor boats on anchor further out. One buoye, looks private but being used by a sailboat.

Good depth for anchorage and easy access with no reefs close by. Possible to Moore to cliffs on both sides of the creek. A small beach in at the bottom of the creek and sheep running freely around the island.

Fantastic place with many places to Moore against cliffs or stone harbour. Everything you need for a summer day out; beach, benches, bbq stations and gapahuk for the rainy days. Very SUP friendly natural harbour. Sailing yachts can Moore in the inner area easy, it's deep enough and steep cliffs

A fine alternative when bad weather hits, Risør guest harbour is full and you don't feel it's safe anchoring in the natural harbours around Risør. Well protected harbour and tugged away from the elements in Kranfjorden. Nearby area is industrial, and the only close by shop is a boat shop which might come in handy for some. 20 minutes walk to Risør centre. Booking on Mooringo.

Approach and maritime conditions: North of Kjønnøya.
Anchoring: Newly established quay with bow in and own stern anchor. Plenty of bolts in the rock east of the quay, not so deep there. Space for 1-2 boats to anchor on their own anchor, check water pipes in the nautical chart and be aware that there is a lot of boat traffic through the passage towards the southeast.
The area: Inner Kjønnøya has hiking trails and many small bathing places for children. Short walk to Hafsund with food service and accommodation.

Anchoring: Possible alongside in some places on the north side, check conditions first, most lie with anchor and bow in. Possible to lie at anchor.
Area: Small beach called "Skallet" on the south side of the bay, shallow for small children. Trash containers on the south side right by the beach. Outhouse well hidden on the north side not far from the "pier".
