The newly built small harbour is no longer available for guest boats. When we visited in October, one side was filled with several rows of Fast Ribs for fjord safaris, while the other side was completely occupied by permanent moorings (small boats).
We were only able to moor in front of the terrace of the closed Bryggjehuset restaurant. The design of the multi-angled jetty with mini bollards suggests that only small boats are expected to make short stops here. There is no infrastructure here.

The guest quay behind the breakwater with its finger piers for small boats offers more protection from wind and swell than one might expect.
The place is beautiful and well worth a visit.

Easy entry, but: No cleats or bollards. The floating jetty consists of metal grates, some of which are badly damaged (risk of injury). The jetty is open to the fjord, so the swell from passing ships can be felt.
The ferry at the nearby landing stage keeps its generators or engines running even when moored for hours, which can be clearly heard depending on the wind direction.

During our visit, there was no water or electricity available. It is clear that new installations are being worked on. Unfortunately, the jetty was very dirty due to seagulls.

Very beautiful spot with impressive glacier tongues in the background. From the floating jetty, you have a wonderful panoramic view.
There is electricity at the pier, but you need a long cable.
The water hose at the pier is long enough to reach the floating dock.

You can moor alongside at the end of the quay and buy very tasteful cider at a Farmshop (Odelsgut). This can be delivered direct to the boat. You can ask to stay over night.
Depth 1.5 m at the southern edge, on the northern edge 2.5m.

There are also two mooring buoys laid out. Well protected area, no light or noise pollution. There is also no cellphone net reception.
Be careful after your walks on land, check yourself and your boat for ticks!

There is no secure way to use the floating dock or quay, as either reserved or claimed by regular ferry services.
Only short stops or anchoring remain.

I sent an email to Harbour Master Flamport (who is also responsible for Gudvangen) and he assigned me the western side of the guest jetty (No. 5). This was the only space available, but no reservations were taken; it was first come, first served.
When we arrived, the spot was free, but there were signs on the jetty saying "reserved". I ignored them.
At low tide the water is 2m deep on this side of the jetty.

A distinction must be made between guest berths in a small boat harbour, which can only be accessed via a channel with shallow water depths. Boats with a draught of more than 1.2 m should only enter at high tide.
Outside the harbour entrance, there is a floating jetty for large boats with very good water depth (over 3 m), but there is no infrastructure.
The neighbouring ferry landing stage is only in operation when necessary, i.e. when the landing stage in Fognes is unusable.

Approximately 200 metres away is an invisible outlet from a hydroelectric power station. This is used at very irregular intervals and causes strong local turbulence and currents. This leads to slight movements of the boat at its mooring, even when there are no other waves.
