Entrance and maritime conditions: The guest harbor is located at the innermost part of Leirvik Center
Docking: Several floating docks for mooring along.
The area: Here you are located in the middle of the center. Small playground on the quay for kids, as well as a sanitary building. Several restaurants, grocery stores, and shops in the immediate vicinity. A bit further out, it is also possible to fill up with diesel/gasoline. (At the outer part of the entrance, on the port side, before the marina)

The area: The area has a small Joker store. Diesel and petrol right outside the Kulseid Canal.

Old stone pier, somewhat high at low tide. With good shelter from the wind. The area offers ruins from the First and Second World War. Nice place to explore with the children.

Approach and maritime conditions: Located west of the center in Espevær.
Docking: Alongside the floating dock or in a berth. Good depth in the harbor, approximately 17 meters
The area: Espevær offers UFO rings and a few small restaurants in the summer. Beautiful coastal island with few permanent residents. There are no cars on the island

June 2025 - Austheim municipality confirms that there are still municipal guest berths, both in designated spots and on the outside. Information about payment is available on the quay.

Nice harbour, but the beach quickly gets very 'polluted' from diesel and gasoline spills, and waste water from boats in the inner harbour.
Austevoll swimming area is nearby, with reasonable prices. Restaurant and shop within walking distance. Nice hiking loop of about 6 km, with a barbecue hut by a lake about halfway through the hike.

A cozy and nice harbour. The area is also suitable for motorhomes.
Many activities for children and adults, with a small sandy beach, water toys and a frisbee golf course.
Short distance to the store.

Restaurant on the quay, and a small self-service kiosk open around the clock.
Water and electricity on the pier.

Nice island with a lot of history as a former defense island. BOF, together with R.O. Boating Club, has helped upgrade the facilities. In 2022, they have put in place a toilet building (outdoor toilet), shelter, kayak ramp, rehabilitation of the piers, benches, and grill. A traditional boathouse is also under construction. The island has excellent facilities for overnight stays in a hammock, tent, and fire pits.

Guest spots at Finnøy boat club. Power on the quay (CEE plug). Walking distance to Joker store. Diesel and gasoline filling right by Kulleseid Canal. Well-protected harbor.

Possibility of hauling out boats, kayaks, etc.

The area: Hiking area, with a recreational area at the very north of IO.
NHIL's football field can be found at Ryland, walk over the bridge and follow the road approximately 1km

Nice guest harbor, with a kiosk and service facilities on land. Toilet, shower, and washing machine.
Outdoor pool not far from the harbor, and a very good bakery. Swimming islet right by the harbor.

The island hosts a well-documented history and is today uninhabited. One of the many farms has been restored and the entire island is grazed by wild sheep. The area has several coves adapted for boats, with floating docks and mooring bolts. Here you will always find a sheltered cove.
Beautiful hiking areas, and several outhouses on the island.
Remember to keep your dog on a leash.

Great dock facility with floating dock. Swimming pool between the islands. The wind can come a bit from the north, since there is low vegetation in that direction. Nice area. The island offers many anchoring spots and has a well-documented history. Good hiking areas.
There are wild sheep grazing on the island.

The old steamship pier at Romsa. Old stone pier (unfendered). Beautiful hiking areas on the island. Outhouse by the old restored farm, approximately 400m from the pier (follow the road up, keep to the left).

Approach and maritime conditions: Holmeknappen is located centrally along Herdlefjorden. If you are coming by sea from Bergen and entering Herdlefjorden, the ocher-colored sea house on Holmenknappen is a well-known landmark on the starboard side as you approach the small beach town. In earlier times, Holmeknappen had important central functions for a wide hinterland of the surrounding farms: boathouses, barns, general store, and later also a steamship pier, hotel (1896), and dairy (1909). But today, Holmeknappen is no longer a hub. Transport and trade routes have changed the old pattern.
Docking: On the south side, you will find two floating concrete docks, with the outermost dock side open as a guest dock.

The area: The area has a rich coastal culture. Here you will find a general store http://www.knappenhandleri.com/ with many exciting items. There is also a museum, Sjøbua and Holmestova, showcasing old coastal culture (open in summer).
It is also a short distance to Kiwi Holme, which is open from 7 AM to 11 PM.

Approach and maritime conditions: Right before the bridge at Kilstraumen (northbound) you will find Mastrevika on the port side
Berthing: It is free to moor alongside the floating dock on the outside or one of the 7 outermost berths on the outermost floating dock.
Water and electricity on the quay. Trash bins on land.
The area: On land, there are several tables and benches, as well as a grill.

Entrance and maritime conditions: The third and outermost guest harbor in Bekkjarvik.
Mooring: Along several floating piers, either in a berth or alongside. You can also use the stone quay.
The area: The facility is new and the onshore sanitary facilities are not yet completed. However, the floating piers have modern shore power and fresh water.
The area has been developed with fine hiking areas and several small bathing coves with shell sand.
A short walk to Bekkjarvik center with all facilities, everything from shops, a mall, restaurants to a pharmacy and doctor.
