The harbour is well protected regardless of wind direction. The channel in is well marked. If coming from the south, there is a height restriction of 15 meters due to the bridge. You can instead choose Fonnes Straumen, where the bridge is 25 meters.
Kilstraumen brygge has a good and pleasant restaurant.

The floating docks have good depth. At the quay, the depth varies, deepest by the building called “Naustet”.

Approach and maritime conditions: The guest harbor is part of the service offerings of the campsite. Easy approach. Good depth at the outer part of the floating pier. It gets quite shallow closer to the shore, and sailboats have been observed along some of the jetties near the shore. The quay belongs to the inn, and it is not really a guest harbor, but you can get permission to stay there if you ask. The floating pier is taken in during the winter.
Mooring: A long floating pier and some quays along the shore. It is quite shallow at some of the quays.
The area: Beautiful hiking area where a hike up to Bondhus Lake / Glacier is obligatory. If you want to do more, you can walk the Keserstien to Fonnabu at Folgefonna.

Anchorage: One can moor with a stern anchor towards land, or one can anchor up. Good sandy bottom.
The Area: The entire Lysøya has well-maintained trails around the whole island. There are benches provided where one has a view over Krossfjorden. Ole Bull's summer villa is located here, it is normally open for visits and concerts during the summer season. In the summer of 2021 and 2022, it is closed for renovation. There is a quay and a floating dock on the other side of the island, near the Ole Bull Villa. The floating dock is 12m and can be used for mooring until 22:00. The quay is used by the scheduled boat and residents of the island; any mooring to it must be agreed upon in advance.

Entry and maritime conditions: North in Austevoll on Krossøya. Coming from the south, there are no obstacles. Coming from the north, one can go on the west side in Upselesundet, note the high voltage lines approximately 20m high. One can also go on the east side via Krosshamnsundet in a well-marked channel.
Anchoring: Good anchoring spot with sandy bottom and good holding. Depth 5 - 10 meters depending on how far in you go. Some bolts fixed in the rock. Condition of these is unknown. There might be some swell from the south, otherwise a very calm harbor.
The area: The area is quite overgrown and requires good footwear for walks on land. Nice area for paddling.

Floating dock and quay, larger boats must lie on the outside of the floating docks or the quay.
Somewhat exposed to waves from fast ferries, important to use proper fenders.
Said to have the best hamburgers in the area!

Well-protected harbor with easy entrance. The harbor consists of quays, floating docks, and berths. Berths that can be used by guests are marked with 'available'. At the floating dock, there is good depth; in the berths and at parts of the quay, there are some places that are very shallow. This is especially true behind the breakwater. Store approximately 50 meters from the harbor. Very nice hiking areas. One can choose whether to walk along the fjord or high into the mountains.

Harbour with good depth. Can moor to the quay or three different floating docks. Note! There are different owners so it is wise to check postings to see whom one should pay. Nicely arranged hiking trails. Nice bathing areas, both in the fjord and Kyrkjevatnet. Bakery with museum about a 10-minute walk from the harbour. Bar and eatery on the quay. Shop about a 10-minute walk from the quay.

New fine quay and floating dock. Has received low ratings on maritime quality due to a low 'gate' that one has to go under to get ashore from the floating dock. See picture. This is difficult to see in the dark. Reported it to the harbour and hope they change it.
Well-marked entrance and good depth in the entire new section.

Possibility for mooring at both the floating dock and the quay. At the floating dock, the depth is over 3 meters at low tide. The quay has varying depths, parts of which are not suitable for sailboats. The quay located directly opposite the entrance to the harbor is very exposed to waves and wind.

Narrow and restless harbour, with little protection against waves both from weather and wind, as well as from all the traffic in the fjord outside. Parts of the quay are concrete quay without protection. Best suited for smaller boats.

Very good piers with good depth for sailboats. Currently, there are no toilet or shower facilities in the harbor. If needed, toilets can be used at the Joker store during its opening hours. The water is drinkable, but it is only filtered river water, so during heavy rainfall (high river flow), it might not be the water you want to fill your tank with. It is better when the water flow is low.

There is no beach in the immediate vicinity, but at the eastern end of the quay, there is a diving board and stairs that make it easy to get back up onto the piers for those who want to swim. The pier is also very well equipped for those who wish to fish, with a bench for gutting the fish and a sink to rinse it in.

The area is very nice, but the quays are not so good, especially for larger boats. The harbor is exposed to wind and waves and is unsettled.

Easy access in a very beautiful natural area. More of an anchorage with a floating dock than a guest harbour. Great hiking areas, especially for those who enjoy mountain hiking. In the autumn, there are many sheep in the area, so dogs need to be supervised.

Very well-protected harbor with a good floating pier. The area has much history, especially from the war when Telavåg was central there.
