The guest harbour consists of two parts. Most boats moor at the large concrete jetty. Here there are stern buoys or mooring lines. The harbour master is quick to arrive to help with mooring.
To the north of this concrete jetty is a newer section with Y-shaped jetties. However, the walk to the toilet facilities is a bit of a trek from there.
Downside: everything here costs extra. Electricity costs extra and water costs extra too.
It can get a bit noisy in the summer. The village has two grocery shops, a chemist’s and several restaurants. There’s a large playground opposite the harbour.

Dominig has explained most of it. Perhaps to clarify the approach: it’s safer to enter the small harbour from the south-west, and you should definitely keep to the centre of the channel.
Regarding water: No, there’s no water in the sauna. On the way to the sauna, where the path branches off uphill towards the lighthouse, there’s a tap right by the path.
Something that detracted a little from the special atmosphere: in the evenings, two brightly lit path lamps come on. It doesn’t quite fit in with this lovely spot.

Large marina with 30 guest berths. Depth: 7 metres. Easy access. Payment is currently (2026) made via the epark app. Harbour fee: 300 SEK plus 30 SEK via the app. Electricity and a washing machine are included. There is also a kitchen.
There’s a supermarket (Willy’s) very close by (200 metres). Otherwise, you’ll find everything you need in the nearby town. Definitely a good harbour for crew changes too, as the airport is right nearby.

A rather nice harbour at Sweden’s oldest sailing club. The members are also very helpful if you need a hand. The toilet facilities are a bit dated but perfectly fine. Right by the harbour there’s a rather good restaurant that also serves lunch. When the wind is from the south, there’s a fair bit of swell in the harbour.
If you’d like to go into GĂ€vle town, there’s a bus stop further up the road – about 300 metres’ walk away.

Easy to navigate. Perhaps an important point to add: the club does not charge a harbour fee, but welcomes donations, which can be made via Swish or in cash. There are two donation boxes for this purpose (see the sign on the jetty).
Otherwise, it’s a lovely spot which the club has equipped as well as it can within its means.

Haparanda is well known for the fact that many sailors leave their club pennants here as a memento. Contrary to the (automatically generated) information from the admin: You can only moor alongside here. Apart from its history, it’s not a harbour you absolutely have to visit. There are bicycles available to get to the nearest town. The toilet facilities are very basic. I’ve seen facilities this poor in Sweden, especially for the price. The harbour fee is (2026) 200 SEK. There is no water at the jetty. If you’re moored at the far end of the jetty, you’ll need a very, very long cable to get electricity. Payment can be made via Swish, in cash or using the credit card reader located in the clubhouse.

It is also worth noting that this harbour is 16 km from Haparanda (the town).

The entrance is easy; there’s nothing special to watch out for. The dock has space for about 12 boats. You moor using a stern anchor. The depth varies somewhat, but a 1.50-meter draft is no problem. The boat next to me (photo) had a draft of 1.7 meters. There’s a very nice swimming beach, plenty of restrooms, showers, a kitchen, and a playground. There’s also Wi-Fi and a disposal station for portable holding tanks. The dock is part of a campground, where payment is also made.
Alternatively, you can anchor in the bay.

Entry is easy. At the end of the jetty there’s a spot where lots of locals come to swim. It can get a bit noisy at times because of this (music).
Otherwise, the facilities are very good, with washing machines and tumble dryers.
There are two good garages nearby in case you have any engine problems.

Especially if you’re not familiar with the harbour, you shouldn’t sail into it when the sea is rough. It’s narrow and has a few rocks on both sides.
Lörudden isn’t really a harbour for an overnight stay. It has no official berths. But it’s a lovely destination for a day trip (or if you’re just passing by). The restaurant is well-known for serving excellent food (including lunch).

The entrance to the harbour is very narrow and can be a challenge in westerly winds. There are two jetties for visitors in the harbour. The first jetty has no electricity. The second jetty has electricity and water. On the west side of the second jetty, you moor with a stern buoy. On the east side, you can moor alongside.
The kitchen is where the toilets and showers are.
The harbour fee is paid at the kiosk/restaurant right by the harbour (18 euros in 2026, including electricity).
When there is a westerly wind, the swell reaches right into the harbour.
Otherwise, there isn’t much to see here. The lighthouse has very limited opening hours and can only be visited with a guide. At midday from 10 am to 12 noon and, on certain days (depending on the season), also from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Navigation is straightforward. The jetties are a bit old. PLEASE NOTE: There is a self-closing door at the start of the jetty. You’ll need a key for this, which you can get from the harbour master. If you arrive outside of opening hours, you’ll find a telephone number. The harbour master has hidden a few keys. He’ll tell you where they are. 200 SEK including electricity in 2025
A few places to buy food and other items in town.
Note (2026): If you are visiting out of season, the harbour master may neither answer your call nor ring you back. Please bear this in mind if you are travelling alone, as, as mentioned, the self-closing door may prevent you from getting back to your boat.

To the east of the SXK buoy, there is a small jetty where two or three boats can moor. On the island, there is a barbecue area, a dry toilet and a small shelter where you can take refuge in bad weather.

Navigation is easy. When the sea is rough, people tend to choose the route through the canal. In that case, Älmsta is a typical stopover. There isn’t much in the village itself – just an ICA for shopping and a restaurant.

If you’re travelling between GĂ€vle and Öregrund, RödhĂ€ll anchorage makes for a good stopover. The anchorage is very well sheltered and the seabed is firm. The depth is around 2 to 3 metres. However, you should have good nautical charts and have someone at the bow, as there are a few rocks underwater.

There are moorings with stern buoys right in front of the harbour master’s office (next to the crane). If necessary, you can ask the harbour master if you can use a berth. The harbour master is there until 6 pm. The toilet facilities are very basic: a shower (separate for men and women) combined with a toilet. There is a kitchen with a hob and a sink. I think the spot is better known as MjÀltön, Baggviken (MjÀtön is the name of the island). It can get quite busy here in the high season, as many people come for a day trip.
You can also drop anchor in the middle. The anchorage depth is 4 to 6 metres. However, the anchorage isn’t very good.
MjĂ€ltön is Sweden’s highest island. There is a well-marked hiking trail that forms a circular route to the highest point. Everyone who comes here by boat brings a stone to the highest point.

First: there are no buoys! With anchor towards the shore ore anlongside. Note: alongside max. depth is 1,40 Meter. With anchor I would say 2 meter. Incoming into the harbour is easy. The place is very cozy. It has two barbecue areas and wood. The toilet facilities appear to have been recently refurbished (2026). Payment can be made via Swish or in the restaurant. Please note: you will need adapters for the electricity. You may also need a long cable, as there is only one power point in the middle.

Timbo has added some informative photos. I don’t agree with his description or rating. Firstly: the guest berths are immediately on the left as you enter the harbour. There are 8 buoys in place. What really shocked me was the harbour fee – 40 euros (2026). The jetty is very good and very new. Shore power available, but no water. Dry toilet, no shower, no washing machine – nothing.
You just have to put it into perspective. This isn’t a tourist region. I’m here on my own in the harbour right now (late June). This isn’t the sort of place where many tourists go on holiday. 40 euros – that’s what I paid in Mariehamn last year.
Additional information about the kiosk: They also serve lunch and dinner there. Opening hours are from 9 am to 9 pm. Bookings and payment are made via the website (QR code at the harbour). Please note: According to the information board, plaeces can be reserved. So don’t just turn up hoping there’ll be a place free.

This is my second time in this harbour. You’re right in the heart of the city and close to the station. Great for crew changes and shopping. The harbour fee is 300 SEK (2026) and must be paid at the restaurant right by the harbour. There you’ll receive a card for access to the sanitary facilities. There are two kitchens, several toilets and showers. You have to pay extra for the washing machine and tumble dryer (book at the restaurant).
In the harbour, you moor to Y-shaped jetties. Outside the harbour, you can moor alongside, though this is not really recommended in strong winds. Depth in the harbour: 6 metres

Entering the harbour is straightforward, but you should watch out for fishing nets that have been laid out. Guest berths are signposted at the first jetty (as viewed from the shore). Payment is made via the GoMarina app. You will be given a key to the clubhouse. The clubhouse has a kitchen, shower, washing machine and toilet.
Some of the jetties are a bit past their best. The harbour is guarded at night by a club member. There are also bicycles available to get to the nearby village, about 2.5 km away. There is a grocery shop (ICA) in the village.

Additional information: There is no direct harbour fee, but visitors are asked to contribute 5 euros per day towards the cost of electricity. According to the information board, the money is also used for the upkeep of the harbour. However, I couldn’t find a box into which I could have put the money.
A note for Finnish readers: Perhaps you could pass this on – it is likely that visitors will arrive who do not speak Finnish. It would be a good idea to provide such information boards in two languages (English).

The entrance is very clearly marked by navigation buoys (red/green). You can also moor at the second, southern jetty (sign: ‘Reserved for restaurant visitors’). But please note: the outer end (at the bend) is used by passenger boats and should therefore be kept clear. A long cable may be required for shore power.

Entering the harbour is straightforward – two green navigation buoys show the way. You might be a little confused at first because you can only see the large harbour basin (see aerial photo by user ‘SikeÄ’). The aerial photo also appears to be quite old. There are now several tall birch trees between the large basin and the actual harbour. Guest berths are not marked. The jetty is showing its age but still seems sufficiently sturdy. Not all the power connections appear to be working. With the first one I tried, the fuse blew immediately when I plugged it in. It’s not a harbour you absolutely have to visit. Rather, it’s a good stopover, especially if you’re looking for shelter from strong winds.

PrÀstgrundet is a very small, simple harbour. You moor by dropping a stern anchor at the small jetty. On land, there is a lovely fire pit and a very nice dry toilet. PrÀstgrundet is home to the smallest chapel on the Norrland coast (6 x 4 metres). Please note: the water is only 1.6 metres deep in the entrance. It gets deeper once you reach the jetty.

Neither the map nor the satellite image above show the current situation (2026). I have included the link to the website. The first photo on the linked website shows what the situation looks like in 2026. I have also added a few photos. The buoys are now positioned somewhat unusually on the outer edge. They are also exceptionally far from the jetty. My 20-metre mooring line was just long enough for my boat (8.50 metres). On the inside, there is a concrete floating jetty where two larger sailing boats (right/left) or several motorboats can moor. Otherwise, mooring on the inside is almost impossible for sailing boats due to rocks underwater close to the jetty.
The harbour fee is 10 euros and can be paid at the cafĂ© (credit card only, no cash). Otherwise, it’s a lovely spot in this archipelago

First of all: The map here, as well as the map on the website kvarkensbatklubb.fi/, do not reflect the actual situation (as of 2026). However, there is only one crosswise dock there with four stern buoys (no finger dock). The statement “10 guest berths” on the website is therefore incorrect. One or two boats should be able to moor alongside the adjacent floating dock (made of concrete). I would say it’s more likely to accommodate only one larger boat.
There is no water (absolutely no water). All the faucets at the service building have been unscrewed. There is one (!), I repeat, a single toilet; no shower, no kitchen—nothing.
There is a service building with a sauna (and shower?). This requires an additional fee (19 euros as of 2026) and can only be paid with a Finnish cell phone number (billed through the cell phone bill).
The port fee is paid via the easyPark app and amounts to 17.25 euros (2026)
It’s also worth mentioning that there’s a small brewery here (100 metres from the harbour). They have a shop where you can buy beer at prices that are reasonable by Finnish standards.
