Mooring: Ringholmen Guest Pier has two floating docks.
The large wooden floating dock (alongside mooring) is situated in a beautiful lagoon. Note, there is only 1.4 m depth in the channel leading to the lagoon. Here you must pay attention to the tide. Power and water are available on this floating dock.
A smaller metal floating dock can be found on the outside. Here there is sufficient depth. It is shallow around the entire Ringholmen, but easy to navigate as the shallows are well marked.
Alongside mooring, but lack of cross bollards. Here there are no facilities for power/water, but you can probably ask nicely at the Boathouse to get an extension cable/water hose.
The area: A unique place with lots of charm. The small islet is flat, and the crystal-clear water invites swimming, snorkeling, and paddling.
The Boathouse in traditional style has a restaurant with a fantastic view and terrace. You will also find several terraces around the building where you can enjoy a cold beer.
Conference room with a large long table, tap, and sea view. Concerts are also organized here. Gigantic fireplace with cozy seating areas.
NOTE: The phone number in the 2018 edition of the Harbour Guide is incorrect. The correct phone number for the Boathouse is 48156131.

Berthing: Two large wooden floating docks, with pontoons. Good depth. It is also possible to anchor south of the floating dock.
The Area: Magerøya Guesthouse is beautifully located, with nicely developed outdoor areas, benches and tables, lawn, swimming opportunities, hiking opportunities, and not least a stage, treehouses, and other wooden structures in the forest. A charming place!

Navigation and maritime conditions: Simple navigation. There can be quite a bit of wind through the channel, but you still dock safely.
Docking: Floating dock with outriggers. Good depth.
The area: Lovely trading place and local community. Store and bakery where you can buy most food and fishing supplies and gas. Possibility of hiking on the island, including to Brandasundsåta (marked) in easy terrain. From here, there is a beautiful view over Gisøya and the lighthouse on the outside. Idyllic and full of charm!

If you take the short trip to the top of the island, you can see the sun disappear into the sea by Marstein Lighthouse.

Locals refer to this outport as 'Signalen'.

Good anchoring conditions, approximately 5 meters depth at the innermost part of the inlet, sandy bottom. Here you are surrounded by forests and high mountains, be aware of downdrafts where direction and strength can vary significantly from the weather forecast.

It is nicer (smooth rocks and pine trees) outside the innermost inlet. There are many bolts here.

About an hour with a dinghy if you want to go around the whole of Lysøen. Approximately 3 nautical miles round trip to the store at Buena Kai.

Beautiful and sheltered harbor, here you are safely moored in a very cozy maritime environment.

Payment through the GoMarina app, where you will get the code for electricity access. Modern sanitary facilities, access with a code from the app, showers cost extra (40 NOK for 10 minutes in 2024). Please note that the app does not allow multiple showers at the same time.

Askøy coastal team has an exhibition on the islet. Here you can borrow two færings (rowboats) for free.

Right above the guest pier, you will find one of Bergen's most popular saunas, https://frydaskoy.no/. The sauna is booked as 'private,' meaning you do not share it with anyone other than those you book with, although Fryd is gradually trying out communal sessions as well. From the sauna, you can swim in the sea or paddle SUP (Fryd has a SUP board available for loan). Mobile charger and music system.

Short distance (5 minutes) to a beach, child-friendly. Here you can sit on the rocks and gaze out over the fjord.

Approach and maritime conditions: A good and safe place to stay overnight if you leave from Bergen on a Friday afternoon and don't make it all the way to Austevoll.
Easy approach, good depth.
Mooring: Alongside mooring at the floating dock
The area: There is a campsite/motorhome parking here, so the harbor has all the facilities.
Here you will also find benches and tables as well as a grill.
For a slightly nicer view, you can take a walk on the breakwater.

The area: Flipper Café has two pinball machines, as well as good food. Public toilet on the outside of the building. Payment for the guest harbour is made via the GoMarina app. Coop Xtra grocery store is about 500 meters from the guest harbour. It is about a 20-minute walk to the child-friendly beach near Ranheim school. With a dinghy, you can take a shortcut under the low bridge next to Flipper Café.

Approach and maritime conditions: This beautiful natural harbour is located in the Ørsta Fjord, a lovely place to relax after crossing the Stadhavet if you head inland towards Ålesund. Easy approach. The buoys are not far from the shore, so on fair weather days without wind, it might be tempting to swim across.
Anchoring: Two mooring buoys, one of which is connected to a floating dock. Room for one boat on each side of the floating dock.
The area: Beautiful panoramic view. The harbour is listed in the Harbour Guide.

In the morning, you get bread rolls and licorice boats delivered to your cockpit - completely free!

There is also a guest harbor at Skotabergkaien (power & water on the dock) in front of the apartment complex (between the sailing club and the bunkering). It's a bit quieter here.

Easy entrance that is well marked. If you are coming from the north, the bridge in the sound is 27 m high, most pass underneath here.

Sailboats usually moor alongside the floating dock. Power on the floating dock, payment via Vipps. By the quay in front of the guesthouse, the depth is about 2 meters.

Refueling at the quay located a little further out in the harbor.

Sheltered harbor where you are protected from wind and waves, even though the express boat docks a few times daily. There is a notice for quiet hours from 11 PM.

Shopping center with Vinmonopolet (!), boat store (!), pizza/burger/ice-cream bar with outdoor seating, and various other shops. Opening hours on the Facebook pages of Bekkjarvik Torg.

Guesthouse in historic buildings with one of Norway's best and most famous gourmet restaurants.

The buildings for the shopping center and some of the guesthouse rooms are connected, and here you will also find showers, toilets, washing machines, and dryers. Parts of the buildings have small displays of old maritime treasures, so it's worth exploring a bit.

Well-suited for crew changes since the express boat Bergen - Sunnhordland stops directly at the guest harbor.

Årbakka is an old trading post with a lot of history. Kiosk/shop with post office and many old treasures. Here you can buy waffles, coffee, and ice cream. Tysnes Coastal Association has a small museum with old boat engines, tools, and knot boards. In a third building, there is an art exhibition/sale. The shop and exhibitions are only open on weekends.

Toilet, shower, washing machine, and dryer. Tokens for the shower/washing machine can be purchased at the shop. There is shore power and a water hose at the quay. Payment via GoMarina or bank transfer.

The entrance is well marked. There is about 2.5-3 meters depth at the quay, deepest at the NE end. Very shallow by the shop.

Beautiful nature and hiking opportunities. A charming place with super friendly hosts and fantastic exhibitions.

Easy approach. Several floating docks. Very good depth at the long floating dock, but also at the floating dock further in (right by the sandy beach) there is at least 3.3 meters depth. Very child-friendly natural harbor with a water slide and swings, as well as several barbecue areas, set in beautiful western Norwegian nature, with smooth rocks and pine forest.

Easy approach through Bekkjarvik Strait to the north (27 m bridge) or from Selbjørnsfjord to the south.

Unattractive harbor with a lot of concrete. However, it is only a five-minute walk to the beautiful old harbor (Bekkjarvik Inner Harbor), which is popular on sunny days. Here you will find both historic buildings and one of Norway's best restaurants, as well as a shopping center, boat shop, and express boat quay.

Short distance to Juthålo swimming area with sandy beach and diving tower.

Beautiful small natural harbor equipped with a sturdy concrete floating dock and mooring bolts, as well as tables and benches. A good alternative when the other docks at Lykjelsøy are full - it's just a short trip with the dinghy over to the beach, and there is also a marked trail between the coves. Easy navigation.

Lovely island community with a little something extra, including a brand new sauna right by the sandy beach, and some street art. The hike up to the lighthouse is a must. It is also recommended to take a trip to the harbor in the north, past charming houses and grazing sheep.

Sørevågen is a sheltered harbor where you moor alongside the quay, but only at the innermost spot do you have shore power. There is a water hose by the Coastal Association's shed (which also has a toilet and book exchange). There are no longer shower facilities in Sørevågen, but if you're desperate enough, it's about a 15-minute walk to the swimming pool.

Utsira - a gem out at sea. Most boat tourists choose to stay in the more sheltered Sørevågen. The outer part of Nordvikvågen is characterized by the ferry quay and appears unappealing, but just a few minutes away, both homemade cake and simple fish dishes are served at Dalanaustet, in the inner part of the harbor.

Friendly hosts at the hotel. There are no facilities for boaters other than toilets. Low noise level is desired due to hotel guests.

About a half-hour walk to the day trip cabin at Rambua on the outer side of Øygarden, with a beautiful view of the sea. Here you can light the stove and kill a rainy day. The trip is well signposted and easy.

Cozy guest harbor with lots of history. Easy approach, good depth at the floating dock. The latter does not have bollards, but you will still find something to moor to. Shore power and fresh water at the floating dock.
At the local store, you can buy ice cream while the kids play on the trampoline outside.
Here the fjord gets nice and warm, and there is nothing stopping you from taking a dip from the boat.

Easy approach to several well-protected anchorage areas, but some shallow spots, use a nautical chart. There are bolts in the cliffs around. The bay north of Vetle Hestholmen is best suited for sailboats, around 4 meters anchoring depth.

Beautiful recreational area with nice swimming spots, a bathing ramp for the disabled, tent area, barbecue and bonfire areas. Footbridge to Vetle Hestholmen. Numerous opportunities to hang up a hammock. Child-friendly, with several shallow swimming spots. Perfect for SUP and water play.

Well-marked entrance towards the large grill cabin of the Outdoor Recreation Council. There is a concrete quay with the possibility to moor. Approx. 3-4 meters depth at the L-shaped bend. There is room for at least two to three sailboats here. Slightly shallower the further west you go on the quay.

The approach is marked, but be aware to keep a good distance from the first starboard beacon in the approach - it is shallow about three meters out from the beacon. Use nautical charts otherwise, there are some unmarked shallows in the area.

After the expansion in 2022, the mooring buoys have been removed. The sailing association now has four guest spots (two alongside, two in berths) at the D-pier (the fourth floating pier when you arrive by sea). There is water and electricity on the floating pier.

Great and very sheltered harbor with all facilities. Service building open 24/7 with toilets, showers, washing machine, and dryer. Bus stop nearby, it takes about an hour to get to Bergen city center, and 10 minutes on foot (or a few minutes by bus) to the Bunnpris store in Hjellestad.

Easy approach from SE, well marked. It is also possible to enter from the north if you pass under the 14 m bridge.

The Bunnpris store attracts many day-trippers on nice weather days and weekends. Here you can buy both soft ice cream and AGA gas containers. There is diesel and gasoline filling at the quay. Toilet and shower (tokens) are located right by the floating dock and are open during the store's opening hours, the same applies to the washing machine and dryer. Low harbor fee. Bus stop right behind the store, it takes about an hour by public transport to Bergen city center.
