Berthing: There might be space at a very small pier by the store. Used for small boats. The express boat docks right nearby. The guest pier is located east of the store, where the fishing boats are. The pier is municipal with space for 2-3 boats alongside. Tight.
The Area: Beautiful area. Nice hiking terrain. Friendly people.

The area: You can experience reindeer on the beach. You might encounter camels if you follow the road to Akkarfjord.

The innermost quay is now a concrete quay with bollards and power/water. The prices have changed slightly compared to the image shown here. For example, a spot for boats of 31-40 feet costs 165,-. Electricity is an additional 60,-

Beautiful anchorage. Most places are when the weather is nice. A bit tight for anchoring. Important to check the wind direction for the night so that you don't run aground. Good holding ground.

This is a harbour where you might need to arrange if you can moor. You may have to lie alongside a moored boat. Tight for maneuvering. Fast ferry/boat approximately 2 times a day that turns around inside the harbour...

If there are no available spots at the guest pier, this is a good alternative. You should contact by phone at 77688808 if you wish to dock there. In 2023, it cost 200 NOK including electricity. Payment via Vipps. Best to dock on the inside due to some boat traffic during periods of the day.
Nice and idyllic little place. Store approximately 500 meters NW from the quay.

Beautiful place. Deep "Los-holla". The chart shows 10 meters but it was 15. Enter carefully as it is shallow for the approach to the anchorage. The island is "Dunvær" and you cannot bring a dog ashore from June 1 to August 1.

Hersøya is located in Vargsundet, and is part of the Nordkvaløya-Rebbenesøya landscape protection area. The island has a rich plant and bird life.

Great place with a nice beach, both on the inside and outside of the breakwater. Payment with GoMarina. In 2023, it cost 360,- showers, washing machine, dryer, sauna, and garbage disposal are also available.

Great spot, small eatery. Large beach north of Akkarfjord. If you're lucky, you might encounter camels.

Beautiful anchorage. 9 meters deep and spacious. Some traffic from tourist fishermen, but not bothersome. Friendly people ashore. A short walk to the store (Snarkjøp. 850 meters, about 11 minutes). There are some private floating docks in Leirvika. (see picture, within the anchorage)

Guest spots on the outside of the breakwater can be a bit uneasy during the arrival of fast boats and ferries. The ferry operates every half hour from 06.00 to 23.30
1.5 km from Seierstad, you will find the Bedehuset Bar and Bistro, which is definitely worth a visit.
There is a 24-hour store right up from the harbor. They also sell motor oil there. You pay for diesel outside the store.
On the Navionics map, it shows that there are also guest spots in bays G1, G2, and G3. These spots were a bit 'worn out' but located behind the breakwater.

Great harbor but few guest berths. Very shallow by the fixed pier, innermost towards the center. The floating pier is a tender pier for cruise ships. Can be used when there are no cruise ships in the harbor. Contact the harbor watch for information. Tel +47 932 31 470

Well-sheltered anchorage from waves. Wind can come over the isthmus. Ice will freeze in the innermost part during winter. Extremely good holding ground, clay. Our anchor held so well that we had trouble getting it loose.

approx. 70 meter floating dock, concrete. Good depth on both sides. Completely new facility. The area is being enhanced with the construction of a square, outdoor seating, a large pier with a large concrete shelter. Expected to be completed by July 2024. Very inexpensive harbor. The first 4 days are free. After that, NOK 100 per day. Electricity NOK 50 per day. Located in the center with access to a grocery store, liquor store, police, restaurants/cafes, etc. Even though Sjøvegan is 'off' the main route, it is definitely worth a visit by boat. Payment via Vipps or account number.

Approach and maritime conditions: The harbor is located at the innermost part of Altafjorden. Guest berths at the entrance. It can be a bit unsettled on the outside of the pier, towards the east. Fuel filling on the inside of the pier. Shallow at low tide on the inside of the floating pier.
Berthing: Guest berths at the floating pier. Moor alongside.
The area: Alta is the largest town in Finnmark with 21,000 inhabitants (2020). Alta is particularly known for Altaelva, northern lights experiences, and the petroglyphs. The petroglyphs are listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Alta also has a unique church in the middle of the city's center; the Northern Lights Cathedral. There are many nice hiking opportunities in the area around Alta.

A good deal of islets and reefs at the approach. Well marked, but stay focused, especially in rough seas. Plenty of space in the harbor. Many floating docks but most are for fishing boats. We were assigned a spot by the breakwater. Well protected harbor. The harbor guide gave a 6/10 for wind protection when we were there, but it feels very safe in the harbor.
On the dock we were on, we had to contact Øksnes Harbor Authority. Tel: 951 53 872 Very good service from the Harbor Authority.

Docking: Floating dock with berths or alongside at the new municipal floating dock.
The area: The harbour is a short distance to the store. Possibility for hikes. See tur.no.
